In 1904 the Great Western Railway Introduced the first 'Pull-Push' train Service. A linkage system enabled the train to be driven from either end, thus eliminating the locomtive to be 'run-round' at the of at end of a journey.
By the 1920's most railway companies had adopted the system which remained in use until replaced by diesel multiple units in the 1950's. The two coachs in this pack represent 'Set 608' in BR Green.
